She stood there on the bridge looking out across the Perfume river,  As the traditional imperial boats made their way across the Perfume River. She could see the big market out in the distance,  Its exotic smells filled her nose and reminded her of her father's stories of a different era.  Yet she looked back over her shoulder, and there her lover stood, watching her quietly, gazing into her beautiful brown eyes, loving every moment he had with her. This moment on the bridge was truly special to him, he had dreamed of taking her there,  A city she had never seen, Except in the stories she'd been told as a child.
